St. Helens, OR - Columbia Pacific Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) is collaborating with Tyack Dental Group and other organizations to open a mobile dental van in St. Helens. Beginning Friday, Nov. 17, the mobile dental van will provide restorative and urgent services for Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members who are patients with Dr. Tyack through their dental plans, ODS and Capitol Dental.
The dental van, located in the parking lot of the Legacy Medical Group clinic in St. Helens (500 North Columbia Highway, St. Helens) will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays, with the exceptions of Nov. 24 and Dec. 22, 2017. Patients are asked to make an appointment, just as they would to be seen at Dr. Tyack's clinics in Clatskanie and Astoria, by calling 503-728-8970.
"Oral health is an important component of overall health care," says Kristy Frazier, clinic manager at Legacy Medical Group in St. Helens. "We are delighted to collaborate with Dr. Tyack, the Dental Care Organizations -- Capital Dental and ODS -- as well as Legacy Medical Group to provide expanded services to members in Columbia County."
"People are healthier when their physical, mental and oral health works together," states Safina Koreishi, M.D., medical director for Columbia Pacific CCO. "Integrating care has meant changing the way communities work together. We listen to our members and providers for ideas and make local investments to help make these changes. We do this by focusing on coordinating care, encouraging innovation, improving community health and promoting healthy choices - and these choices allow our members to smile brightly."
"We will be working with Dr. Tyack, ODS and Capitol to evaluate this program over the next couple of months," added Alyssa Franzen, DMD, dental director for Columbia Pacific CCO. "As the clinic grows, we will work with the practice to look at adding additional services, such as preventive care with dental hygienists."
