Climate devices are important for people dealing with very hot or cold weather, or unreliable electricity. They help keep you healthy, safe, comfortable, and secure. Columbia Pacific CCO members can learn about who can get them, what devices are offered, and how to ask for one below.
What kind of climate devices are available?
- Air conditioners
- Air filtration units and/or filters
- Mini-refrigerators
- Heaters
- Portable power supplies
You may be eligible for one of each device per household every three (3) years. You are allowed one replacement device in that time frame if your item stops working.
Am I eligible for a climate device?
To be eligible for a climate device, all three of the following must be true:
- You must be a current member.
- You are not able to get the item/service through any other benefit or means, and;
- The item or service must help with your medical need or life situation.

How do I request a climate device?
If you have met the eligibility standards listed above and want to request a climate device, simply click the button below to fill out the Climate Device request form and submit it to CareOregon by email or fax.

You can fill out either form yourself, or with the help of a parent, a caregiver, or a guardian/support/trusted friend, or a staff member from an organization or clinic.
